As a way to honor children who have passed away from cancer, we will be holding a memorial ceremony at CureFest on September 18, 2016 at approximately 1:30 p.m. During the ceremony, parents who have lost a child to cancer will be presented with a tree seedling that is in a burlap pouch with a gold ribbon around it. The parents will receive the tree with their child’s name on it. They can then take the seedling with them to plant at home. The goal is to remember children in a way that will last for many decades to come. We can also ship the seedlings to families who cannot travel with them.

We are offering the tree seedlings this year in part because the National Park Service will no longer permit us to do a butterfly release. This is completely optional. In order to get an accurate count we will need reservations to be placed by September 5. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions.
