Will there be a First Aid area at CureFest for Childhood Cancer?

Yes, there will be a designated First Aid area.

Where are the closest public restrooms to CureFest for Childhood Cancer?

The closest public restrooms to the CureFest Walk and Festival can be found in the Smithsonian Museums. All of the Smithsonian Museums offer free admission and open at 10 a.m. The entrance to the Air and Space Museum is approximately 100 yards from the CureFest site. In addition there will be several Porta Potties on site.

Can I bring my family to CureFest for Childhood Cancer?

Yes! CureFest for Childhood Cancer will feature a family-friendly atmosphere with games, activities and live entertainment.

Food and Drink

Will there be food and drinks available at the event?

There is a Refreshment Stand on the National Mall next to the event near Jefferson Drive. There will also be food trucks in the location around the Mall. Many of the museums have cafes as well. There will be light snacks for registered walk participants.


Since the event is free this year, is registration required?

Yes, even though we have waived the registration fee this year, registration is still required for all participants. This will allow us to determine how many people will be attending the event.

My organization would like to have a table at CureFest. How do I sign up?

There is no cost for a table and chairs but there is a fee for renting a tent.

Please note: we have a limited amount of space on the National Mall and sold out the last two years. Space is subject to availability.


Are there hotel accommodations for out of town attendees?

CureFest has reserved a block of rooms at the J.W. Marriott at 1331 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20004. With the block rate, standard rooms are $219 per night plus taxes and fees.
